Not a Love Poem

2 min read
This is not a Love poem.

But, she makes me very happy.
She understands me better than people I've known since kindergarten.
And I don't mean to sound like a Lovesick fool,
but she's one of the most beautiful people I've ever meant.
She's so kind and caring, and she dresses very well too.

But this is not a Love poem.

A few months ago, I told her that I thought I was falling for her.
She told me that she didn't think she felt the same way.

And I felt relieved when she said that.

I looked deeper into my feelings after that.
I looked deeper into all of the times that I thought I had fallen for someone.

A few days later, I told her that I thought I was Aromantic.

I was scared that she would call me out, as just a week ago I had told her that I thought I Loved her.
But instead, she told me that she'd fight anyone who would disagree.
That made me smile.

This is not a Love poem
But, I do think I love her.
Love isn't just about romance, as I've come to learn.
It's about caring for and supporting those you're close to.

The sands of time swirl together, and are blown apart. Universes are formed during the collisions of the tiny particles, and two forms watch over them. One walks forward and collects the new universes, and places them near the older ones.
She was epitome of femininity, with skin as pale as clouds and hair the colors of the sunset, and eyes like wisps of a cool summers breeze. The other was the almagamation of all things masculine with skin like the night sky and hair as bright as moonbeams, his eyes like burning stars.
They looked at each other, and the woman whispered, "Aren't our creations wonderful? They are so full of life and wonder!"
and he replied with "Yes, but they are also full of hate and neglect, my dear. The use unneeded violence and warfare to get what they want."

Two people stood in a forest, flower petals falling off of the trees and getting trapped in their hair.

As they were standing there, looking at the sunset, they noticed something. A large, winged figure was flying above them.

What was that creature? Where was it from? Where was it going?

Nobody knew, for the two who had been standing there, had ever existed.
